PRINCE GYORGY – It has been nearly 4 years since marijuana was legalized in Canada, and the anniversary date is approaching. Gone are the days of taking a bag off your buddy’s uncle just 48 months after cannabis was legalized in Canada, and the time-honored ritual has been replaced by private storefronts like Grasshopper Retail Inc.

Hunter Whiting, store manager at Grasshopper’s Hart highway, says cannabis itself has become a topic of conversation, against a long-standing taboo, as more details about the product become available to the public.

” There is definitely a lot more conversation about the product now. You know, before legalization, when you’d pick it up, you’d be like, “oh, this stuff’s fine”… but here we go into terpene profiles and percentages, and I find that you can really get more of a unique experience with the savory and high flavors, and the weed also becomes a topic of conversation” – Hunter Whiting, Budtender / Grasshopper business manager

From bongs to pipes to papers and vapes, from rack to rack, private retailers like Grasshopper are quickly becoming the one-stop shop for cannabis connoisseurs and curious shoppers alike.
